The Gulmarg Gondola or Gulmarg cable car is the Asia’s largest and highest cable car project installed by Pomagalski of France at Gulmarg Kashmir. And is also world’s second-highest operating cable car. It has two phases, first phase was completed in 1998 and is running from Gulmarg to Kongdoori having a horizontal length of 2091 mtrs and a maximum passenger carrying capacity of 1500 PPH with 72 cabins and the second phase was completed in 2005 and is running from Kongdoori to Apharwat peak having a horizontal length of 2539.99 mtrs. with a maximum passenger carrying capacity of 600 PPH respectively with 34 cabins installed.
