Introduction to Vistadome train in Kashmir
The Vistadome train has recently been launched by Indian Railways to boost tourism in Kashmir. This train will enhance the travel experience for both tourists and locals. The Vistadome coach was inaugurated by Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and LG Manoj Sinha on October 19, 2023. These Vistadome coaches feature large glass windows and glass panels in the roof, allowing visitors to enjoy a breathtaking view of the beautiful Kashmir valley.
Currently, the train service is running between the Baramulla and Banihal sections. In the coming months, Kashmir will be fully connected with the rest of the country with the latest addition of Banihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan section. Book Srinagar Railway station taxi service here.
