Halwe Paraath

The Halwa is made with sooji (semolina flour) and the Paraath is made with wheat flour.This Paraath is then fried in oil and  served with Halwa. Harissa

It is one of the favorite and famous delicacies in Kashmir during winters. In this dish the mutton is cooked with a variety of spices and oil until it forms a thick paste. This traditional mutton dish is usually eaten during winters and tastes best when served with Kashmiri bread, known as “girda” kander Tchot. Tujje

While walking across the picturesque Dal Lake in Kashmir, be sure to try the local specialty known as seek-tujje! or also known as Tikka

These are actually small pieces(nuggets) of beef or mutton marinated with fresh spices and left for a few hours for the flavors to meld together.  Then cooked over hot red embers using skewers. Laale Shangram

This Kashmiri delicacy is made with sooji , flour and sugar and then deep fried in ghee. It is best enjoyed with tea or Kashmiri kehwa.  These balls will leave a sugary taste in your mount after you eat it.  When you chew it, it has a creamy texture and is crunchy on the outside.
