Detailed Itinerary: Leh Ladakh 8 Nights 9 Days

Day 1: Arrival in Leh

Upon your arrival in Leh, our representative will welcome you at the airport and will take you to your hotel for some rest. In the evening, you may choose to stay at the hotel or take a stroll through the local market, where you will find silver jewelry, Tibetan handicrafts, Pashmina shawls, and other unique local items.

Day 2: Leh to Sham valley Day tour

Begin your day with a scenic excursion to Sham Valley, situated around 70 kilometers from Leh. As you travel, you will also explore some of Ladakh’s notable attractions.

The journey starts with a stop at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a sacred site built in honor of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, where many pilgrims come to seek blessings. From there, proceed to Magnetic Hill ,a unique spot where vehicles appear to move uphill on their own when placed in neutral, creating an unforgettable optical illusion.

Next, head to Nimmu Valley, a breathtaking location where the Zanskar and Indus rivers meet in a stunning confluence. You will then visit Alchi Gompa, one of the oldest and most significant Buddhist monasteries in Ladakh, renowned for its ancient murals and unique architecture.

Finally, visit the Ladakh Hall of Fame, a museum dedicated to the sacrifice of Indian soldiers who gave their lives in service to the nation.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra valley

Start your morning with an early breakfast, as today’s adventure takes you on a scenic drive from Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass , the world’s second-highest motorable road.

Khardung La is famous for its extreme altitude and thrilling terrain. After crossing this iconic pass, you will continue the journey to Nubra Valley. Once you arrive, check in to your hotel and take a brief rest before beginning your exploration.

In Nubra valley your sightseeing begins with a visit to the ancient Diskit Monastery, also known as Diskit Gompa, which offers panoramic views of the valley and a sense of spiritual tranquility. Then, head to the famous Hunder Sand Dunes, where you can ride the rare double-humped Bactrian camels or enjoy an exciting ATV ride across the sand dunes.

Later you can visit panamik Hot spring located near the Siachen glacier, a natural hot water spring known for its medicinal properties and serene mountain surroundings.

Conclude your day with a delicious dinner and a cozy overnight stay at a scenic campsite under the stars.

Day 4: Nubra valley to Turtuk day tour

After a restful night, start your morning with a hot breakfast and get ready for a day trip to Turtuk. The Landscapes of Turtuk is different from rest of the Ladakh. It is home to the balti community. Just 7 kilometers from Pakistan-administered Kashmir, Turtuk remained under Pakistani control until the 1971 war.

Don’t miss the chance to visit the Turtuk Waterfalls, the Balti Heritage Museum located across a quaint wooden bridge, and the historic government school that once operated under Pakistan’s education system prior to 1971.

After immersing yourself in Turtuk’s culture and natural beauty, head back to Nubra Valley by evening. Enjoy a delicious dinner and go for sleep.

Day 5: Nubra valley to Pangong Lake

Today, you will start a scenic journey from Nubra Valley to the stunning Pangong Lake. The drive takes you through Ladakh’s rugged mountains, revealing spectacular landscapes and the serene beauty of the Shyok River along the way.

As the journey continues, you will reach the iconic Pangong Lake a breathtaking high-altitude saltwater lake. The lake became more popular after bollywood hits like 3 Idiots and Jab Tak Hai Jaan filmed here.

After exploring the pangong and its surroundings, relax with a warm dinner and settle in for a peaceful overnight stay at a picturesque lakeside campsite.

Day 6: Pangong Lake to Hanle

After breakfast, you will depart from Pangong Lake and head towards Hanle. For several kilometers, the road runs alongside the beautiful Pangong Lake before diverging into a completely new and stunning landscape that will leave you pleasantly surprised.

Along the way, you will come across a small restaurant names as the Last Restaurant where you eat some food. A little further on, take a break at the Rezang La War Memorial, built in honor of the martyrs of the Kumaon Regiment who bravely fought in the 1962 war.

The journey also includes crossing a stream a short but adventurous section of the drive. After this, you will reach the Loma Check Post, which marks the entry into the remote and serene region of Hanle. The village is known for its peaceful environment and vibrant culture.

In the evening, enjoy a warm dinner, possibly with the locals, and spend the night in Hanle under a clear, star-filled sky.

Day 7: Hanle to Tso Moriri

After having breakfast at your guest house in Hanle, you will begin your journey to Tso Moriri Lake via Umling La Pass ,the highest motorable pass in the world. After crossing this mighty pass, the route continues through remote high-altitude terrain, eventually leading you to the Mahe Bridge.

Finally, you will arrive at your destination the serene and breathtaking Tso Moriri Lake. Once there, check in, take some rest, and later enjoy a peaceful walk around the lake, soaking in its natural beauty. End the day with a warm dinner and an overnight stay at Tso Moriri.

Day 8: Tso Moriri to Leh

Today is the Eighth day of your Leh Ladakh adventure. After enjoying breakfast, you will begin your return journey to Leh. Upon reaching your hotel, take some time to relax and recharge.

Later in the day, head out to explore the local Leh market. This is a great opportunity to wrap up any shopping or visit any nearby spots you might have missed, as tomorrow you’ll be heading home.

DAY 9 : Departure from Leh
