The Jammu & Kashmir government has lifted the travel ban for non-local tourists to Gurez Valley.
The MLA Gurez personally discussed with the Divisional Commissioner, confirming the ban’s removal
The travel ban was imposed after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack due to security concerns.
Sightseeing, hotel stays, and guided tours are now allowed for all. Tent camping by non-locals is still not permitted; only locals can arrange camping for visitors
The Gurez Festival is planned for August 6–7, showcasing local culture and traditions.
