Gulmarg witnessed its season’s first snowfall
On the evening of November 4 the slopes of Gulmarg were covered in fresh snow, turning the landscape white and magical.
Light to fresh snowfall was reported across the higher reaches including the famous Afarwat, Main Bowl slopes and Sonmarg.
Locals and tourists alike were seen enjoying the snow, with hoteliers reporting a surge in bookings and ski instructors gearing up for winter sports
A western disturbance brought the snowfall. Officials report that the snow/rain spell will taper off soon and a dry period is expected till around mid-November.
